The SCORE Association is a national, nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the Small Business Administration (SBA).  SCORE Association's 11,500 volunteers serve as "Counselors to America's Small Business."  Working and retired executives and business owners donate their time and expertise as volunteer business counselors providing confidential counseling and mentoring .

Merrimack Valley's SCORE Counselors conduct numerous workshops approximately twice a month starting in September, through June. These workshops provide the planning frameworks you should implement to prepare for a new business venture or to improve your business if already started. These workshops are praised by the attendees, local lenders and the Small Business Administration.

Since 1964 SCORE has served more than 4.5 million clients with more than 1.2 million volunteer hours.  In fiscal year 2001 SCORE provided 387,938 services to small business through counseling, educational workshops, and online assistance.  An average of 50,000 individuals visit www.score.org each month, while more than 59,000 entrepreneurs utilized SCORE's email counseling available 24X7.
