About SCORE Southern New Hampshire
SCORE (Chapter 199), based in Manchester N.H., was founded in 1967.
We assist small business with free business counseling, small business training and a library of resource information, much of which is online. Our mission: Timely, Quality Business Counseling.
One of six chapters in New Hampshire, our area includes Hillsborough and Merrimack counties, including the towns of Concord, Manchester, Salem, Nashua, Milford and even northern Massachusetts.
Our volunteer members, whose broad business experience range from marketing and sales, engineering, manufacturing, contract management, finance, general management, service and more, use their individual skills to help clients evaluate and develop plans for new businesses, solve business problems and direct them to additional resources, including financing.
The Manchester chapter now has more than 50 counselors and takes on an average of 14 new cases a week. Our clients find us on the Internet, through our publicity efforts and via referrals from financial institutions and the SBA. We meet with clients at their businesses, our offices, or in public locations such as libraries to accommodate their schedules.
Our goal is to help clients avoid common mistakes, provide direction and help them become as successful as they want to be. All of the volunteers and resources of our chapter are available to every client and they are available for as long as they want or need them.

“I really appreciated working with SCORE. Shana was helpful, but not pushy. I knew that it was still up to me to make my business succeed. She just gave me the added direction and confidence I needed to be successful.”
